Airman- Book review

Blurb: One dark night on the island of Great Saltee, fourteen-year-old Conor is framed for a terrible crime he didn't commit. Thrown into prison by the dastardly Hugo Bonvilain, Conor is trapped in a sea swept dungeon and branded a traitor. He must escape and clear his name; he wants his old life back - his family, his friends... and his princess. Conor knows there is only one way out. It's an impossible task that has never been done before. But Conor is determined to do it. He'll have to fly.

Ok, so this is technically a children's book, but when did that ever stop Harry Potter? It's full of action and adventure, and has me hooked every time I read it (yes, I've read it several times). I've always loved Eoin Colfer's books, especially Artemis Fowl, but I would have to say that this is by far my favourite. The character Conor Broekhart/Finn is smart, kind and good-looking (what more could you want?), and the way he overcomes all the terrible situations he is thrown in is through using his intelligence, and grit.
If you want a book that is fast-paced, full of adventure, and choc full of well written characters then this is one for you!

Marks out of 10?: 9 (not 10, because it doesn't take me long enough to read).
